Commissioner Palacios was lifted with a bad taste in the mouth. He slept more than wrong. He walked with a painful step and went straight to his ramshackle refrigerator. Uncovered a Coca-Cola Light and began his string of systematically swallowing tablets: Enalapril, Aspirin, Atorvastatin, Vitamin E, fish oil, Vitamin C, B Complex, Ginseng, Trental, Raditidina, Pankreom, Prostagen and Pharmaton. Arrows indicating that his retirement on Channel drank quickly towards him.
Respingo of a shock as I finish up. Stopping work was worse than death. Was faced with a dreadful solitude and live in the middle of sleepless nights watching bad movies on TV.

Most Of Us Get Robbed For Our Lack Of Knowledge In Daily Affairs And Needs. 12/05/08

(copyrighted)

Mechanic shops are VERY good examples.

I always say,

“I am thankful to God who has given me the same intelligent (if not more) as the next person he/she created. Therefore, there is nothing someone else can do that I can’t.  However, I choose the things that I want to do; because, TIME is precious.”

I learned a little about how to work on vehicles engines, transmissions and bodies so that I would not get robbed.  However, when I speak with mechanic shops, I act as if I am the most ignorant person on earth, just to hear how far a shop is going to push me.  Then, I write about that shop or business.
Also, allow me to state the fact that I am a fast driver, but a safe and all around careful one.  As I approach to enter a vehicle, I glance at the tires for air pressure, and look on the ground under the vehicle for any signs of leaks.  YOU MUST DO that if you care for your vehicle and your money.  It

Ga. Earns `F` on Premature Birth Report Card

For the second consecutive year, Georgia earned a grade of `F` on the second annual March of Dimes Premature Birth Report Card but it showed improvement on criteria that can help give all babies a healthy start in life. The March of Dimes released its second annual report card today, the 7th Annual Prematurity Awareness Day, when the March of Dimes focuses the nation’s attention on the growing problem of premature birth (birth before 37 weeks gestation). Also for the second consecutive year, the United States earned only a `D` on the Report Card, demonstrating that more than a half million of our nation’s newborns didn’t get the healthy start they deserved. As in 2008, no state earned an `A` and only Vermont received a `B.`

Here in Georgia we are proud of our hard work in key areas of criteria on the report card and hope our efforts will spur a decline in our preterm birth rate,` said William Sexson MD, Vice Chair of Pediatrics, Emory School of

The Georgia Homeless in 2008

What is homelessness?

Homelessness is a difficult and complex issue. So much so, that there is even

disagreement over the definition of who is truly homeless and who is not. The

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) defines someone as

“homeless” if he or she:

resides in an emergency shelter or in transitional/• supportive housing for

homeless persons; or

• resides in a place not meant for human habitation, such as cars, parks, sidewalks,

abandoned buildings, encampments, and dilapidated buildings

The U.S. Department of Education uses an expanded definition that also includes

people who are:

• doubled up with family or friends due to economic condition

• living in motels and hotels for lack of other suitable housing

• migrant workers living in housing not fit for

Sewage Sludge Disposal ? Land Application -environmental Problems ? an Overview

SEWAGE SLUDGE DISPOSAL – LAND APPLICATION -ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS – AN OVERVIEW

1. Introduction

Most wastewater treatment processes produce a sludge which has to be disposed of. Conventional secondary sewage treatment plants typically generate a primary sludge in the primary sedimentation stage of treatment and a secondary, biological, sludge in final sedimentation after the biological process. The characteristics of the secondary sludge vary with the type of biological process and, often, it is mixed with primary sludge before treatment and disposal. Approximately one half of the costs of operating secondary sewage treatment plants in Europe can be associated with sludge treatment and disposal. Land application of raw or

TV STATIONS AND PROGRAMMES CONTENT IN NIGERIA: THE PAST AND THE PRESENT

Only Government owned stations were in operation, such as NTA 2 Channel 5, channel 10, channel 7, (now defunct), LTV and the popular OGTV. These stations were subjected to the whims and caprices of the government and could not independently air certain programmes. Besides, the usurpation of power at various times by the Military from the civilians and within themselves before 1999, further put a clasp on what could be aired. Though 1992 heralded the dawn of the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood), TV programmes continued to tag along. However, before the millennium, spilling over into present day, various private owned TV stations emerged and have seemingly relegated the Government owned stations to the background (except the NTA network base).

These private stations include but not limited to Africa Independent television (AIT), Silver bird television (STV),Channels, Super screen, Television continental (TVC), DBN

THE SUDDEN CRAVE OF NIGERIAN FILM PRACTITIONERS/POTENTIAL MEMBERS TO ATTEND THE NEW YORK FILM INSTITUTE

It is worthy of note that filmmakers back in the mid 90′s (during the Nollywood boom) simply churned out movies just to make money and not because they had a passion for it.Tunde kelani, however stood out from the pack, and his regular quality output propelled him effortlessly into the limelight. His dexterity with the camera and consequent productions stems form the knowledge he acquired at the London film school. You can get most of his works in one of my articles “Tunde Kelani : A legend in Nollywood.” Steve Gucas who shot “keeping in Faith” is said to have attended same as well.

Despite the presence of the National Film Institute, Jos, Nigeria, the new generation of  film makers and those in other spheres of filmmaking, thirsty for the requisite skills to produce movies of international standard have found their way to the prestigious New York Film Institute. Those who have made the Alumni list include Kunle Afolyan ( Irapada, The

1. Local bank, national lender, or mortgage broker? The first thing to consider is the mortgage offers that banks make available directly. CAN NOLLYWOOD CLINCH THE NUMBER ONE SPOT IN MOVIEDOM ?

What was the answer that popped up in your mind when you read the title of this piece? was it aligned with the aforementioned negative re-curring anti-progression responses or was it a deep sigh embedded in a few minutes of silent thoughtful projection in to the future .You travelled through time and space, saw the possibility of dealing with the odds that have stood daringly in the face of the Industry’s advancement, and the injection of large doses of entertainment based, tested and proven multi progression vitamins formulae, discovered from product of years of research in to the Industry, then you declare that it’s possible !.

Whichever of the schools of thought you opt for, the truth still remains that Nollywood certainly has a lot of catching up to do in terms of  “quality” and not quantity productions.  Does Nollywood have a dream of soaring  its flag above others, putting Africa in the forefront of movie productions in the world?
