Golf, Beginners Basics and the Magic Move Of Golf

The popularity of golf has increased tremendously over the past forty five years, giving us champions like Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, and Tiger Woods, and world-renowned courses like Pinehurst, Augusta National and the Blue Monster at Doral.

Why has golf become so popular? Its the opportunity to be outside, to get a good whole body workout, network with friends or business colleagues at a leisurely pace, and to play a game that you can never perfect.

Your scorecard, over time, shows your improvement, which keeps you playing again and again.

Here is a very basic lesson in golf for the person who

has no clue about the game.

Golf is played on an eighteen-hole course; each hole has its “par”, which is the number of tee shots (drives), fairway shots, chips (short hits as you approach the green), and putts.

The par number is based on the length and difficulty of the hole. Pars

Newburgh on Ythan – Newburgh Golf Links Interview

Newburgh on Ythan is a championship links golf course situated on the stunning links coast of Aberdeenshire – the same stretch of land where Donald Trump wishes to build his new Hotel and Golf Complex.

Orginally a 9 hole golf course, Newburgh on Ythan was extended back in 1996. Its a great links course with a closing 9 holes needing accurate shot making from tee to green.

Mark Sinclair is the Club Captain for Newburgh on Ythan Golf Club and no better person for a unique insight into this championship links course.

1. What’s the best hole on the course?

18th – Previously, it was the longest Par 5 in Scotland and is still regarded by many as one of the finest closing holes around. A real tester if you have got a score going!

2. And the worst? (or the hole the members would like to change most)

There are no bad holes, but there are

History Of The Cherry Tree

History Of The Cherry Tree

There are only a few instances in the ancient historical record concerning cherry trees. This absence in the record perhaps resulted in the fragile nature and perishability of the fruit, unlike the fruit from the apple tree. There are strong suggestions that the cherry tree originated in the territories of Asia Minor near the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Other suggestions that the cherry trees were used in the Greek and Roman cultures come from literary historians, and it appears that cherry wood from the trees of cherry was important in many professional applications for the ancients.

Among the fruit seeds that were sent in 1628 to the settlement at Plymouth, Massachusetts, by the Massachusetts bay Colony were cherry, peach , plum, filbert, apple, quince, and pomegranate and “according to accounts, they sprung up and flourished.”

William Bartram found bird cherry, Prunus padus, growing near Augusta, Georgia in 1773 as reported in his book,

Golf Collectibles Gaining Intrest Among Hobbyist.

Golf is one of the oldest sports in the world, with a history dating back to 15th century England. The sport followed the colonists across the ocean and became a popular American pastime. Today, more than half of all the golf courses in the world are in the United States, even though the sport has worldwide popularity. Great players captured the nation’s imagination from Lee Trevino, Arnold Palmer and Vijay Singh. In 1950, golf became one of the few professional sports open to women when the LPGA was formed. Babe Zaharias, Nancy Lopes and Karrie Webb have inspired generations of women seeking a career in professional golf.

But two golfers are leading the way in increasing interest in golf. Tiger Woods and Annika Sorenstam have brought in a new generation of golf fans with their personalities and their record-setting scores. Their popularity has also sparked a new interest in golf collectables. While Jack Nicklaus attracted golf fans, Woods and

Business Tax Deduction Tips

Tax tips and tax help to assist taxpayers by describing options for tax reduction and tax cuts through lawful tax deductions. Tax deductions contribute to national prosperity by providing capital to business. Tax deductions reduce taxable income. A 0,000 tax deduction reduces federal income tax by ,000 (0,000 X 35%) assuming a 35% income rate. Options for increasing business tax deductions include revising depreciation schedules, reviewing fixed asset listings, casualty losses, bad debts, and charitable contributions. Real estate depreciation offers substantial opportunity for increasing tax deductions. Most depreciation schedules are established by simply separating land and long-life improvements. This simple approach is lawful but sharply understates lawful depreciation. About 20-40% of improvements for most properties are short-life items. Short life items can be depreciated over 5, 7, or 15 years. There are about 130

Echuca

Echuca Moama is approximately 215kms from Melbourne and 91kms north of Bendigo located on the Murray River on the Victoria – New South Wales Border. The Moama side of the Murray River provides some excellent accommodation options, a small shopping enclave and the launch point for a number of houseboat hire businesses but it is the Echuca side of the river that now dwarfs its cross river neighbour in both size and attractions.

Echuca is said to have been founded by ex-convict Henry Hopwood in 1850 who established a settlement which was originally known as ‘Hopwoods Ferry’. Some five years early in 1845 ‘Maidens Punt’, renamed Moama in 1851, was established by James Maiden, also an ex convict. By coincidence both Henry Hopwood and James Maiden were convicted on the same day and in the same court in Lancashire England both for burglaries.

The twin towns become an important point for stockmen and travellers crossing the Murray
