Myron Mixon – Bbq Pitmaster Extraordinaire

When it comes to cooking whole hog, or anything on the barbecue for that matter, Myron Mixon (TLC BBQ Pitmaster), likes to think he knows a thing or two about the business.

About Myron Mixon and Jack’s Old South BBQ Team

If you don’t know who Myron Mixon of “Jack’s Old South” is, you should know that he is considered one of the best BBQ cooks that has ever lived. Myron is a 3 time winner of Memphis in May, and competes continually throughout the year in major BBQ competitions.

Myron Mixon is not just a BBQ competitor of seemingly legendary proportions either. He also runs a highly successful BBQ cooking school as well as operating his own franchise business, and a catering business, more details of which can be found here.

It is safe to say that Myrons success is based on having more than one string on his bow of many talents.

If that wasn’t enough, Myron also produces his own range of BBQ

Alleged affair pay more for Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods tries to heal his family and revises the balance between his life and career at a crossroads after his scandals and mysteries. He has left many unanswered questions when he issued his indefinite leave: How long will he be gone? How much money is he going to lose? And what does this mean for his sport?

If Woods skips the PGA Tour’s West Coast swing and then the Florida events in March, he will have had four months of soul-searching and counseling and marital groveling away from public scrutiny. But if Woods misses the Masters (April 8-11), then we’ll know he’s in a bad way. Augusta National is his favorite course and the place that has most spectacularly defined his legend. It would also throw into doubt the rest of a schedule that seemed tailor-made for Woods to enjoy a monster year. This summer the U.S. and British Opens visit their respective cathedrals, Pebble Beach and St. Andrews. The last time golf enjoyed this double-dip was in 2000,

An Introduction to Portugal

Portugal is located in southwestern Europe on the Iberian Peninsula. It is the westernmost country of mainland Europe. It is roughly 350 miles long and 117 miles wide. It has a temperate year-round temperature that is influenced by the Gulf Stream. It’s Atlantic position provides a much cooler climate in the north with a good amount of rainfall in the winter.

Portugal offers many attractions such as sub-tropical volcanic islands, lush green meadows and not to mention 528 miles of beautiful beaches. Rich in tradition and history, it is one of the oldest nations in Europe.

Architecture is just one of the many intriguing features. Especially the Gothic style called Manueline which reflects the country’s prosperity during the Age of the Discoveries. Be sure not to miss the beautifully glazed tiles called azulejos which decorate most of the country’s buildings and monuments.

If golfing is a favorite, Portugal offers more than forty

Columbia and Newberry South Carolina

Columbia, South Carolina is the capital city.  The State House is ranked as one of the most beautiful in the US. It lives up to that reputation, wrought iron railings, mosaic stained glass windows, hand carved mahogany desks in the legislative chambers all embellish its reputation.  The dome is capped with a half-ton of copper.  Two elder statesmen are given special tribute: John Calhoun and Strom Thurmond.

We then went to the State Museum, a combination of historical, scientific, and natural history.  The museum is housed in the former Columbia Mill, which produced duck cloth, a canvas like material.  It was the first mill to be operated by electricity and is on the National Registry of Historical Places. The museum has four floors devoted to art, transportation, science and technology, natural history, and the cultural history of the people of South Carolina.  It has won numerous awards for its exhibits. The most unique aspect of the museum is their

Is Community Lifestyle in the Carolinas your Best Place?

I’m often asked which cities and towns in North Carolina and South Carolina are more affordable than others, and if North Carolina is more affordable than South Carolina, and vice versa.

First of all, look for communities that are less like a “resort” and more like a “community”. Remember, all those amenities cost money and someone has to pay for them making them less affordable in the long run.

Many communities in North Carolina and South Carolina have golf memberships, tennis memberships, social memberships, and even equestrian memberships. There are fees associated with all of them, and you don’t want to find out how much they are, after you settle into what you thought was your Best Place.

There can be fees for using the health club, pool, boat docks, and community room for social events. Recently, I was researching several communities in

North Carolina and I came across a golf community that had an initiation fee of 0,000! Plus

You Can Afford a Maine Home

As the eastern most of the lower 48 states, Maine is nearly in a category all of its own with more French speaking residents then any other state. Having more in common with neighboring Canadian provinces Quebec and New Brunswick, Maine is also one of the least densely populated states in America. Are you buying a home in the Pine Tree state? Have you finalized your financing yet? If you answered yes and then no respectively to these questions, please keep reading for some tips on how you can make Maine your home state.

From Boothbay Harbor to the Quebec border, Mainiacs as some residents like to call themselves, have an independence streak that rivals the weather. Quite frankly, to live in Maine means you must enjoy long, harsh winters as summer is brief and colder weather dominates.

Home prices in the state are most reasonable away from the coast. Kennebunkport and other resort areas are very pricey given that the number of
